Henry the Hedgegnome – ‘Poo at the Zoo’ book
Henry the Hedgenome author, Richard Heddington, contacted Dartmoor Zoo when he heard about our plans for a brand new Hedgehog Rescue, also known as ‘Prickly Hedge Lodge’.
The rehabilitation facility can care for up to 20 sick or injured hedgehogs at a time before their release back into the wild, proving vital for the long-term survival of this vulnerable species.
Richard has written a series of educational and fun story books about hedgehogs and is supporting Dartmoor Zoo by donating a percentage of each sale from Henry Hedgenome – ‘Poo at the Zoo’ book to support our vital conservation work and the continued care we provide to hedgehogs to help reverse the decline of this species in the wild, improve their welfare and safeguard the future of this much-loved animal.
Henry the Hedgegnome’s Great Aunt Hogerty is staying at the zoo, but when Henry visits her to deliver some gifts, his dealings with the other animals land him in all sorts of trouble.
Henry the Hedgegnome is loved by children from 2 – 102 (and probably older).
A perfect bedtime story for younger children or introduction to reading for early readers.
32 pages and 14 colour illustrations.
