Biodiversity report

As well as housing hundreds of exotic species, Dartmoor Zoo also plays an important role in native biodiversity conservation. Activities include conservation monitoring, protection of specific sites, community education programmes and habitat improvement.

Over the past couple of years our researchers have been working on our very own strategic zoo Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP), which sets out targets for biodiversity conservation based on priority species and habitat protection around the Dartmoor Zoo site.
