Gift Aid information

Help to support the charitable work of Dartmoor Zoological Society (registered charity number 1158422) by choosing to Gift Aid your admission.

If you are a UK tax payer, you and your family members can become Gift Aid visitors.

Our ticket price contains a small donation to the zoo and our conservation work. You can choose not to pay this small donation if you wish, but without it we cannot claim Gift Aid. With it, we can claim back the tax on your total payment from the Government, which works out at an extra 25p for every £1 you spend.
If you are not a UK taxpayer, we cannot claim Gift Aid, but you can still choose to include the donation in your ticket price.

For more information on how giftaid works click here.

Accepted methods of payment

We accept Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo.

Concessions

Concessions must show an appropriate form of ID at the entrance gate.

For students we accept an NUS card, ISIC card or UNiDAYS app with both your photograph and expiry date.

For those over 60, identification can include any form of official documentation which shows your date of birth, such as your driving licence or passport.

For disabled guests we accept any appropriate form of official identification of your disability, such as a Blue Badge, Disability living allowance letter or PIP award documentation.

Please contact us on 01752 837645 if you require further information.

Carers

Registered carers receive free entry, when accompanying the disabled person they care for.

You must show your identification at the gate, which can be a Carer ID Card issued by a Health Trust or a Carer Passport.

Dogs

At Dartmoor Zoo, animal welfare is our top priority and it is for this reason that we do not allow dogs on site or to be left in cars in our car park.

Registered Assistance Dogs

We’re happy to welcome Guide Dogs for the Blind, Disability Assistance Dogs, Disability Support Dogs, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Medical Assistance Dogs and Seizure Alert Dogs provided that they are fully registered, kept under control and accompanied by their owners.

Owners MUST show the relevant identification cards before entering the Zoo and all assistance dogs MUST wear their identifying jackets whilst on site. ID card and jackets are a part of the regulations for all registered and trained support dogs in the UK. For further information, please contact Assistance Dogs (UK).

We regret that we’re unable to allow assistance dogs into the Zoo site unless fully trained, and certain areas where we have free ranging animals such as the ‘Walk Through’ remain out-of-bounds to any dogs.

If you would like more information or have any queries, contact our team on 01752 837645.
