Junior Keeper for a Day (for two children)

A day for the younger enthusiasts getting up close with a variety of species.

You’ll take part in feeding selected animals and cleaning their enclosures as well as creating some fun enrichment. This is less demanding than the adult keeper package and runs from 09:30-14:30. It is available for 8-15 year olds.

Itinerary:
09:30 – 09:45 – Arrive and hear all about the exciting plans for the day ahead
09:45 – 10:15 – Go behind-the-scenes at our reptile and bug house and meet some of our amazing invertebrates
10:30 – 12:00 – Have a go at cleaning out our goats and wallabies in our walkthrough area then give everyone a mid-morning snack
12:00 – 12:30 – Time to feed our cheeky Otters
12:30 – 13:30 – Lunch in our Jaguar Restaurant and free time to explore the zoo
13:30 – 14:00 – Create enrichment for our Gelada monkeys and deliver their lunch
14:00 – 14:30 – Finish the day by finding out all about our fiercer residents on a big cat tour.
14:30 – Your experience will finish up by our big cats so you can watch them being fed at our public big cat talk

*Please note that the itinerary is subject to change, depending on animal welfare, weather patterns and staffing on the day. Your host will inform you of any changes to the itinerary during your induction. A parent/guardian will also need to be present throughout the experience.

Please note that the price is the same if only one child is attending.
